Jamie Betit
Hello! My name is Jamie Betit and I am owner/operator of Functional Integrated Training, a fitness and Wellness company focused onTeaching individuals the importance of Whole Health Development and that healthy personal growth can help the overall health of a community. My approach to Whole Health is derived from decades of working with people in various capacities, and recognizing that The Law of Individual Differences should always be respected when working with individuals and groups. This approach has allowed me to develop programs ranging from creative, therapeutic movement classes for Combat Veterans living with PTSD and also Adult play groups teaching people the power of play for personal development and conflict resolution. I have served as a member JAG ( Juvenile Justice Advisory Group) in Maine and also as Mr. Jamie for various summer programs and Little Cities Black Diamonds, Kids on Campus and The Dairy Barn. The time I have spent with all manner of people and the lives I have lived has taught me that people need purpose, inclusion, love, empathy, honesty, exercise, whole foods, permission to do better and nature immersion to thrive and live a life fulfilled. I hope to share some of these perspectives and work with others that believe in the power of the common good! I transplanted from Maine to Athens, Ohio, 14 years ago and live down a country road bordered by acres of forest and rock outcroppings. I share this space with my best friend and partner Meredith, our Cockatoo Rocky, Queen Gouda the cat and occasionally our children Amelia and Molly. When I am not working, I can be found in my gardens, talking to plants and getting my fingernails dirty or with a book in my face.
